1.    Recall a time when someone drew out the best in you or lifted your spirit in some
       way. Relive that moment in time.
                  What did he/she do?
                  What did that evoke in me?

2.    In my particular ministry, how do I foster an atmosphere in which caring relationships
       are nurtured?

3.    If someone were to observe the way I interact with others throughout the course of
       the day as I go about tending to responsibilities, what would they notice?

4.    What gets in the way of my being truly present to others; that is, being fully attentive
       to their spoken and unspoken needs?

5.    How can I explain in my own words what it means to serve the needs of others
       with “cordial charity”?

6.    What does it mean to be a leader in a ministry setting that is distinguished
       by “cordial charity”? What are the implications for me personally?
